ASME SA387 plate has a higher concentration of Chromium and Molybdenum, depending on the specific grade, which improves performance in the final industry application. Universal carries SA387-11, or ‘1-1/4 chrome’, from 3/16” thick up to 6” thick, and SA387-22, or ‘2-1/4 chrome’, from 3/16” thick up to 4” thick.

Universal can provide third-party simulated post-weld heat treatment (SPWHT), per exact customer or end-user specifications to ensure the product will uphold the superior performance characteristics required in the environment of the final application.
